The Philadelphia Writing Program is committed to improving student writing and learning in classrooms from kindergarten through universities. How do we do it? Through teachers teaching teachers.
A site of the National Writing Project, PhilWP is a non-profit network of over 800 professional educators who work with teachers and other educators to explore literacy, writing, teaching, and learning in their classrooms and schools. We know that teachers are the best teachers of teachers. Since our start in 1986, we see the results year after year, as our work impacts thousands of students in the Greater Philadelphia region.
